Clinical Documentation Manager

We seek candidates with 7 years of nursing experience and 5 or more years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist for the role of Clinical Documentation Manager – Clinical Doc Integrity Program. The person in this role will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Program. She/he will be accountable for budgeting, planning and monitoring budget variances, etc. She/he will ensure standards of unit operations are in compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulatory agencies ACDIS & AHIMA guidelines for compliant query, as well as hospital policies and procedures. She/he will facilitate the improvement in the overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation through comprehensive review and evaluation of the medical record. She/he will proactively seeks clarification from physicians and other healthcare providers when further specificity is needed to ensure.

Candidates must have a Masters degree in Nursing and have 7 or more years of clinical RN experience. Must have previous lead or supervisory experience and strong familiarity with Utilization Review criteria. Must have strong knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, CADP, and other regulatory and compliance requirements. Must have CDI Credential (CCDS, CDIP) and strong knowledge of ICD-10 CM and CPT coding.
