We seek candidates with ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn for the role of Senior Ultrasound Sonographer. The person in this role will work primarily at the health system’s new medical building complex (which runs along Illinois, Mariposa and Third streets). The person in this role will also work flexible hours which would also include travel at the health system’s other locations (which includes SF Mission Bay and SF China Basin) as needed. Work hours and days are variable depending on which campus one would work. He/she will perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation. He/she will obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and/or service prior to performing exam. He/she will prepare patient for imaging. He/she will prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam. He/she will demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.

Candidates must be a graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program and have five (5) or more years years. ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum. Must have current BLS. Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts at all health system locations  in San Francisco. Must maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

The role offers highly competitive compensation ($157,602 to $195,917 based on experience) and excellent benefits. Relocation assistance is available.
