Looking for a change of scenery?  We seek a Registered Nurse with five (5) or more years of progressive leadership experience for the role of Director of Clinical Services for Heart and Vascular.  In this role you will direct the systems and processes for delivering care for defined patient populations within clinical service, including the operation of inpatient units associated with the assigned clinical services.  You will evaluate the effectiveness of care to patients and enhances services to meet the needs of the community.  You will ensure the clinical service operates within budget and in accordance with performance standards.  You will maintain responsibility and accountability for quality care in a cost-effective manner, compatible with recommendations from accrediting agencies. Full complement of management responsibilities including; short and long-term planning and development, human resource management, managing and developing physician relationships, financial accountability, quality assessment and improvement, regulatory compliance, productivity management, operational excellence and assuring consistency with the organizational and health system strategic plans.  This position holds responsibility for using a collaborative approach to setting strategic direction, development of new services, service line growth, and marketing of assigned clinical services.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing as well as a Masters degree.  A strong cardiology background is important, but the most important are strong leadership skills and experience managing multiple departments in a complex environment.  Preference given to candidates with cath lab experience. Peri-op experience is also desireable.  Must have demonstrated experience in creating positive relationships with staff and a wide range of physician specialties and personalities.  Experience managing multiple different physician relationships (both employed and independent groups).  Our ideal candidate has experience managing within a regional and large complex national health care company.
