We’re working on behalf of a company that develops, manufactures, and markets life science analytical and preparatory systems for markets such as mass cytometry, high-throughput genomics, and single-cell genomics.  The company sells to leading academic institutions, clinical research laboratories, and pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and agricultural biotechnology companies worldwide.  Their systems are based on proprietary microfluidics and multiparameter mass cytometry technology and are designed to significantly simplify experimental workflow, increase throughput, and reduce costs while providing excellent data quality.  Their products are provided for Research Use Only (not for use in diagnostic procedures).
We seek candidates with direct experience in demand planning, SIOP, and/or S&OP as well as ten (10) or more years related work experience in the life sciences or related industry for the role of Director, Demanding Planning.  In this role you will create new and existing product forecasts and communicate supply requirements to the appropriate stakeholders on a regularly scheduled basis.  You will develop methodology, technology, and analytics to estimate, consolidate and report commercial demand using inputs from multiple systems and sources.  You will work closely with global manufacturing and purchasing teams to optimize production and inventory levels.  You will partner with the finance organization to link the demand planning process and data with financial forecasts.  You will identify new demand and supply forecasting techniques or technologies to improve the overall SIOP process.  You will track variances to plan and recommend the appropriate adjustments to the inventory plan as required to meet business objectives.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and ten (10) or more years of related work experience in life sciences or related industry.  Must have direct experience in demand planning, SIOP, and/or S&OP.  Experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain is expected.  Must have a good understanding of basic accounting principles.  Must have expert proficiency in spreadsheet, data table management, and Microsoft Excel.  Preference given to candidates with APICS certification.  Experience with and Microsoft Dynamics AX (or other ERP system) is also a plus.
