Looking for a change of scenery? We seek Registered Nurse with a BSN and three (3) or more years of acute care surgical services experience for the role of Nurse Manager - PreOp, PACU.  The person in this role will be responsible for the administration and supervision of nursing personnel in the Perioperative Services areas: PACU, Preop (including PAT) and be accountable to the Director of Surgical Services, for coordination of all nursing care given and related supporting services of the Department and personnel. The main function is that of leadership and promotion of cooperative staff effort.  In the absence of the Director, the Nursing Manager assumes this responsibility and accountability.  The Nursing Manager is responsible for the location and completion of assigned functions in the daily operation of the Perioperative Services units assigned to him/her.  She/He interprets hospital and departmental philosophy, objectives, policy and procedures.  

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and hold current California RN license. Preference given to candidates with a Masters degree.  Must have three (3) or more years of clinical experience in Surgical Services that includes two (2) or more years of progressive management experience in surgical services area(s). Must have excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Must demonstrate knowledge of current nursing theory and practice. Must be a compassionate, non-judgmental patient caregiver and advocate.
