Looking for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with two or more years of experience in an acute care cardiac cath lab for the role of Cardiac Cath Lab Tech. In this role you be responsible for table side scrub in with a Cardiologist on various Cath lab procedures (diagnostic, left or right, and PCI heart catheterizations, to include peripheral interventions). You will work closely with the perioperative/procedural team to find and implement solutions. You will select appropriate instrumentation, catheters, and supplies consistent with Cardiologist’s preference. You will ensure a sterile environment is set up and organized prior to patient's arrival into room.
Candidates must have two (2) or more years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech in an acute care facility. Active Radiology Technologist (CRT) license required. Active American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) license required. Fluoro License required. Must have active ALS and BLS. Must have attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Must know how to use all equipment in Cath Lab, to include lifesaving critical care equipment, e.g., IABP, crash cart, defibrillator. Must have extensive knowledge in the use of an auto injector. Must be competent at table side scrub in with a Cardiologist on various Cath lab procedures. Must understand the use of an IVUS machine. Must be able to document cases via the hemodynamic system, e.g., G.E. Mac-Lab. Must be able to exercise independent judgment on a regular basis.
