We seek a Masters educated Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health for the role of RN Director – Behavioral Health. In this role you will provide overall administrative and clinical leadership to the Nursing Unit. You will be responsible for programmatic development in conjunction with Administration and the program Medical Director. You will plan and operate a safe and effective geriatric behavioral health inpatient program while enlisting the appropriate staff and processes to insure a safe and therapeutic environment. You will be accountable and responsible for all departmental activities to ensure delivery of quality patient care. You will ensure effective administrative management of clinical functions related to personnel and policy in order to meet the mission of patient care, education within a fiscally responsible organization.
Candidates must have a Masters degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of South Carolina (or have the ability to gain this licensure). Must have three (3) or more years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health. Must have current BCLS certification. CPI certification is required within six (6) months of hire. Must have demonstrated skills in planning unit design, unit processes and operationalizing the same. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with all internal and external customers.
