Looking for a change of scenery?  We seek a Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years of Director's level experience in acute care ER services for the role of Director of Nursing – Emergency Department.  In this role you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for 32 Bed Emergency Department with approximately 110 staff and 71,000 visits per year. Direct reports include an ED Supervisor, Educator and Shift Supervisors. The department will soon apply for accreditation as a Level III Trauma Center and Stroke Center. Responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient/effective resource utilization; recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment. 

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of California.  Preference given to candidates with a Master’s degree.  Must have three (3) or more years of relevant ED experience with progressive leadership. Must have previous Director level experience. Trauma Center experience is required.
