We seek a Registered Nurse with two (2) or more years of experience in infection control for the role of RN - Infection Prevention Specialist at a 196-bed hospital in Bemidji. In this role you will coordinate the hospital's Infection prevention program in compliance with established polices, procedures and standards of care. You will provide surveillance and education relative to the prevention, detection, identification and control of infectious/communicable diseases within the hospital. You will plan, organize, develop, coordinate and direct the infection control programs in accordance with current federal, state and local standard. You will maintain a close liaison with employee health services to ascertain presence of infection in clinical personnel. You will delegate the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred. Two (2) years of nursing experience is required. CIC certification is highly preferred.
