We're working on behalf of a 591-bed medical center that provides inpatient and outpatient medical care to adults and children through its network of Long Island healthcare facilities. The hospital is home to one of the premier cardiac programs in the region, and they have one of the top transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) centers in the country. A leader in diabetes treatment and education, the hospital was the first major teaching hospital in New York State to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for our advanced inpatient diabetes care. Its CyberKnife® Center, which provides noninvasive treatment for cancers of the brain, spine, and soft tissues, was the first of its kind in the New York metro area and, with facilities in both Mineola, Long Island, and Manhattan, is now the largest CyberKnife® Center in the United States. Their Breast Health Center was the first in Nassau County to be certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
We seek candidates with a Masters degree and six (6) or more years of leadership experience for the role of Patient Experience Director. The person in this role will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and oversight of a comprehensive program to continuously improve the experience of patients and to promote an organization wide approach to patient-centeredness and engagement. She/he will serve as a change agent and work closely with the executive leadership team in identifying priority areas; developing goals; planning improvement; and measuring effectiveness. She/he will recognize that the patient experience encompasses quality, safety, and service encounters and that sustained improvement requires an engaged work force. She/he will serve as a subject matter expert on established and evolving best practices related to service and patient engagement and facilitates strategic planning and development of detailed work plans.
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration; Nursing or Public Health. Candidates must have six (6) or more years of leadership experience in a service or related industry. Must have excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, and leadership skills. Must be able to motivate people toward a shared vision. Must be able to analyze data.
