Looking for an opportunity with a healthcare leader? We seek a Registered Nurse with three (3) or more years clinical experience in acute care OR that includes previous supervisory responsibilities for the role of RN NURSE MANAGER OPERATING ROOM. In this role you will coordinate the clinical and nursing activities for OR, PACU, and SDS utilizing the principles participatory management. You will coordinate with appropriate personnel for clinical and management activities. You will provide personnel to ensure adequate staffing in accordance with Acuity and Matrix standards. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues with technical equipment; patient and personnel problems. You will provide clinical resources as needed to the staff through direct clinical intervention or provision of appropriate clinical expertise. You will respond to emergencies, ensures proper functioning of personnel. You will use systematic methods to resolve problems and evaluate outcome. You will complete annual staff evaluation at least two weeks before anniversary date. You will make daily rounds and is highly visible in the units.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of California. Preference given to candidates with a Masters degree. Must have three (3) years' clinical experience in the OR that includes previous managerial experience. Must have BLS certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). Excellent customer service skills. Must have demonstrated experience in leading patient experience initiatives. Must have effective verbal, written and listening skills. Must be highly organized and able to independently manage priorities. Must have current knowledge of the field with evidence of ongoing continued education.
