Looking for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with CST certification and one (1) or more years of experience as a surgical technologist in a full service operating room for the role of Certified Surgical Technologist. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Surgical team during operative procedures by performing a variety of technical duties to primarily assist in responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the surgical sterile field for the operative patient. You will arrange and inventory sterile set-up for operation and pass items as needed to the surgical team. You will understand and apply the principles of asepsis. You will establish and maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment. You will assist in preparation and moving of patients. You will clean, disinfect, and sterilize instrumentation. You will assist with clean-up and room turnover. You will access computer information as needed, such as preference lists and digital images.
Candidates have be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist. Must have one (1) or more years of experience as a surgical technologist in a full service operating room. Must have demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. Very strong preference given to candidates with CST certification. Must be well organized, detail oriented and self motivated. Must be able to coordinate activities and work collaboratively with others. Must be able to execute detailed procedures with accuracy and precision. Must have strong understanding of operating room protocols.
