Looking for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with five (5) or more years of clinical acute care experience and demonstrated knowledge of the ANCC accreditation process, policies and requirements for the role of Director of Nursing Practice and Education & Magnet Program Director. In this role you will be responsible for the education leadership of the clinical team including the organization and management of the Nursing Magnet program. You will maintain clinical visibility and serves as a resource to staff and managers regarding clinical nursing practice and standards of care.   Using quality indicators and contemporary research findings, you will make recommendations to the Vice President of Nursing, Nurse Directors and committees for appropriate changes to nursing/clinical practice. You will coordinate in collaboration with others the collection of data for nursing-sensitive quality indicators.   Will also use the education design process to bridge the knowledge, skills, and/or practice gaps for nursing staff. You will serve as the primary responsibility for the Magnet certification program, including data collection, evidence writing and submission, as well as the oversight of the certification renewal process. You will also coordinate the Nurse Residency Program for all clinical education as well as all affiliate nursing and clinical students.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of Maine (or have the ability to gain this licensure). Must have five (5) or more years of clinical acute care experience. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the ANCC accreditation process, policies and requirements. Must have demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to develop and implement education programming, including Standards of Professional Practice for Nursing. Prior experience with Magnet program preferred.
