Looking for a change of scenery? We seek a Registered Nurse with five (5) or more years of cliniical nursing experience for the role of Nurse Manager - Neuroscience. In this role you will manage and be accountable for the care delivered in a patient care department or area consistent with the mission and vision of the organization. You will develop and implement departmental objectives based on organizational goals. You will develop and implement appropriate staffing and scheduling assignments. In order to drive departmental performance, assignments will reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, considering scope of practice, competencies, patient needs and complexity of care. You will accept departmental accountability for current and new practices, clinical programs and systems necessary to support changing patient care needs. You will accept organizational accountability for services provided to recipients. You will develop, implement, monitor and be accountable for the budget for the defined area(s) of responsibility. You will evaluate job performance of unit personnel by completing staff performance appraisals and competency assessments and by monitoring performance on an ongoing basis.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of Pennsylvania. Must have five (5) years of clinical nursing experience that includes one (1) year of experience serving in a leadership role. Must have Neuro experience. Stroke Certification is a big plus.
