Looking for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with seven (7) or more years of risk management experience for the role of Director of Clinical Risk Management. In this role you will oversee and administer the risk management activities for assigned network inpatient and outpatient facilities. You will be Responsible for identifying, assessing, and recommending actions for actual and potential exposures to the organization with a goal of improved patient safety and protection of the organization’s assets. You will ensure adherence to government regulations and accrediting body standards and implements policies and procedures necessary to support risk structures and processes. You will facilitate the assigned network and health system leadership in the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of the risk management program, including effective systems which promote and support patient, caregiver and visitor safety, medical malpractice prevention and the health of the organization. You will develop formal and informal mechanisms for risk identification, such as incident reporting, staff referrals, rounding, clinical and non-clinical department meetings attendance, medical record reviews, review of patient complaints, data trending, and review of pertinent quality improvement information.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of Washington (or have the ability to be licensed in these states). Candidates must have seven (7) or more years of clinical risk management experience that includes at least five (5) years of management experience. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification is required within twelve (12) months of employment. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of state, federal, and accreditation requirements including but not limited to CMS Conditions of Participation for acute care and critical access hospitals. Must have general knowledge in other regulatory areas such as, OSHA, EMTALA, and HIPPA. Must be proficient with MS Office applications and databases. Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
