We’re working on behalf of a 600-bed academic medical center that serves as both a tertiary and quaternary referral center and a community hospital. The health system is internationally renowned for providing highly specialized and innovative care.  Their audiology clinic treats hearing loss and related auditory problems in people of all ages. The clinic works in close cooperation with a variety of specialists to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic and balance testing for patients with any degree of hearing loss or communication impairment. They have a full-service dispensing program for hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and they offer rehabilitative services for hearing loss, dizziness and balance problems, tinnitus, and hyperacusis (extreme sound sensitivity).
We seek candidates with an Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology and two (2) or more years of experience for the role of Audiologist. In this role you will report to the Director of Audiology and be responsible for providing a full array of clinical audiology services, and for representing the audiology division in a professional and competent fashion. You will perform specialized audiological procedures (including threshold evaluation, speech audiometry, central auditory testing, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions, videonystagmography, rotational chair assessment, and evoked potential audiometry) to evaluate and define hearing problems in adult and pediatric patients. You will counsel patients and/or patient's family regarding audiometric findings and subsequent recommendations.  You will assist the patient and family in understanding the cost of audiological services and provide information regarding financial assistance when appropriate.
Candidates must have a current California Audiologist license or a Provisional Audiologist license and full licensure within three (3) months of hire. Must have AuD or PhD in Audiology. Must have two (2) or more years of experience.
