We seek candidates with CPHQ or CPPS certification and two (2) or more years of quality, performance improvement or patient safety experience experience for the role of Patient Safety Process Manager. In this role you will support individuals across the healthcare system to successfully utilize RL Solutions for reporting, investigating events and managing the system across all sites. You will act as an organizational resource for patient safety concepts, tools and methods. Primary responsibilities include facilitating and advising on Cause Analysis methods to identify causes and contributing factors for safety events and near misses. You will also facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Apparent Cause Analysis Teams. You will work with key leaders to assure that corrective actions are addressed, and improvement monitored in response to what is learned in the analysis. You will engage with frontline staff, staff responsible for event reporting and is active in the electronic reporting system. You will advocate for/support improvement efforts and serve as a resource for clinical regulatory compliance.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania (or have the ability to gain this licensure). Must have direct experience with clinical process improvement, process reengineering, healthcare quality improvement or like clinical initiatives. Must have experience in implementation of regulatory Joint Commission initiatives and/or Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals. Must hold CPPS certification or be able to attain within two (2) years of employment. Must have five (5) years of work experience in healthcare and understanding of care across the continuum.
