Director of Nursing | Long Term Care

The healthcare system serves as the preferred provider in a 300,000-resident referral area and enjoys the highest patient satisfaction rate.  Its long term care facility in Bath, NY offers outstanding care, delivered by highly-skilled nurses and therapists in a warm and comfortable setting with 120 beds. Their high quality, experienced nursing staff build strong relationships with residents and their families, making the transition from to a skilled nursing environment as easy as possible.
 
Looking for a great opportunity with a leader?  We seek a Registered Nurse with five (5) or more years of long term care experience that includes at least three (3) years of management experience for the role of Director of Nursing. In this role you will participate as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the facilities' skilled nursing services. You will be responsible for managing, directing, and supervising nursing services. You will define and maintain the standards of nursing practice within the institution. You will assess the quality of care rendered. You will initiate the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services. You will be responsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention, and staff development.
 
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York (or have the ability to gain this licensure). Preference given to candidates with a MSN. Candidates must have at least five (5) year of long term care nursing experience that includes at least three (3) years of management experience in a skilled nursing environment.  Must have current CPR certification.
