Looking for a great opportunity? We seek candidates with two (2) or more years of inpatient pediatric dietetics experience for the role of Clinical Dietitian I. In this role you will provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to pediatric patients who are admitted to the general pediatric floors. This includes patients who are newly diagnosed with diabetes and who require comprehensive nutrition education for carbohydrate counting. You will perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, diagnose nutrition-related problems, determine and implement appropriate targeted therapeutic nutrition interventions, and monitor and evaluate outcomes utilizing the Nutrition Care Process (NCP). You will be responsible for nutrition education and ongoing follow-up to patients and parents and will participate in hospital committees as well as on-going education programs for hospital staff, clinical nutrition interns, community, parent groups and professional organizations.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD). Must hold licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (LDN). Must have previous experience as a pediatric Clinical Registered Dietitian with diabetes experience strongly preferred.
