We seek a Registered Nurse with two (2) or more years of clinical nursing experience for the role of RN - Ortho/Neuro. The person in this role will work on a unit that primarily cares for the adult orthopedic, neurology and neurosurgery patient population 18 and above. She/he will complete assessment/reassessment of patient and document in medical record. She/he will analyze the information collected to determine patient’s needs and expected outcomes. She/he will develop and implement plan of care based upon the assessment, diagnosis, and expected outcomes of patient. She/he will oversee the delegation of the plan to other licensed and unlicensed personnel. She/he will ensure a discharge plan is a part of the individualized plan of care as appropriate to the population served.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of Missouri (or hold compact RN licensure). Must have at least of two (2) years experience in the ICU setting (5 years preferred). Must have current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
