Nuclear Pharmacist

We’re working on behalf of a not-for-profit, private hospital whose mission — To improve the health of the people and communities they serve — comes to fruition thanks to the hospital’s more than 2,300 caring, dedicated employees. Located in the heart of Central Illinois, the hospital is a licensed and fully accredited 300-bed facility that offers a wide range of general and specialized diagnostic, surgical and treatment services. The hospital encompasses 12 state-of-the-art Centers of Excellence which focus on proven quality healthcare.  

We seek candidates with a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy and demonstrated experience in nuclear medicine for the role of Nuclear Pharmacist. The person in this role will work a 7 am – 3:30 pm shift and demonstrate working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical compounding and dispensing procedures. He/she will routinely practice basic radiation safety principles in accordance with company policy. He/she will compound and dispense all prescriptions including specialty and complex orders. He/she will independently direct delivery routing. He/she will perform scheduled inventory count and reconcile in computer systems. He/she will independently use all instrumentation required for nuclear pharmacy operations.

Candidates must have a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy and be an Authorized User as defined in part by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Must be licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Illinois (or have the ability to gain this licensure).
