We seek a California licensed RN with three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and two (2) years of Nursing Education experience for the role of Director, Clinical Education and Professional Practice. The person in this role will be responsible for providing leadership of departmental operations. She/he will direct the organization's Pathway/Magnet process as the onsite resource for the ANCC recognition program. She/he will provide leadership for educational and professional development activities for caregivers across hospital. She/he will provide consistent departmental input, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital’s, regional, and system educational programs and initiatives. She/he will develop strategy for implementing tactical plans to achieve and maintain Pathway or Magnet recognition.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of California. Preference given to candidates with a Masters in Nursing, Nursing Education or Education. For candidates who do not have a Master’s degree, a post-master’s certificate in nursing education is strongly preferred upon hire or within four (4) years of taking the position. Must have three (3) or more years of acute care nursing experience. Must have two (2) years of nursing education experience in a management/leadership role. Very strong preference given to candidates with demonstrated leadership experience in achieving initial or re-designation as a Magnet facility.
