We seek a California licensed RN with five (5) or more years of experience in healthcare administration/management in hospital management in an inpatient, acute care environment for the role of Chief Clinical Officer. The person in this role will establish staffing requirements for recruitment, selection and placement of personnel. She/he will verify nurses' credentials and ensure data on qualifications, experience, accomplishments and competency of nurses is maintained. She/he will ensure in-service training and education to all department personnel. She/he will recommend space and resources needed by department. She/he will participate in selection of sources for needed services not available in the department. She/he will work with Quality Director on improvement projects, assigning personnel to participate in performance improvement activities, providing adequate time for them to do so and offering training. She/he will plan, develop, implement and control Nursing Department budget; assist in planning fiscal budget.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of California. Preference given to candidates with a Masters degree in healthcare administration, business administration or clinical specialty. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in healthcare administration/management with two (2) or more years in senior RN management. Must have at least five (5) years of hospital management in an inpatient, acute care environment.
