We’re working on behalf of a 188-bed children’s hospital that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties. We seek candidates with certification as a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) or EEG (R.EEG.T) and two (2) or more years of Sleep Study scoring (preferably pediatric) for the role of Lead Sleep Technician. The person in this role will provide support to the Sleep Center for Children in conjunction with the Medical Director and with the Department Director. His/her primary responsibility will be to score and generate preliminary report on all the sleep studies performed at the sleep lab according to the AASM scoring guidelines. He/she will set up daytime Sleep studies and assist the Sleep Clinic as needed. He/she will help and back up the Department Director to fulfill the day-to-day operations and activities of the Sleep Clinic/Center and EEG department, make recommendations, and submit equipment and supplies requests to the Department Director. He/she will oversee QA activities of the night technician and night tech’s performance. He/she will report directly to the Department Director and to the Medical Director.
Candidates must have certification as Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) or EEG (R.EEG.T). Certification in Respiratory Therapy (CRT or RRT) also acceptable. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Sleep Study scoring as per the AASM guidelines (pediatric sleep study scoring is preferred).
