We're working on behalf of a recently designated critical access hospital that has provided healthcare services to the residents of Morgan, Cass, Scott, Greene and Brown counties since 1875. Located in Jacksonville, Illinois, the 93-bed hospital's mission is to improve lives and build stronger communities through better health. Emergency services are available 24 hours daily.

We seek candidates with licensure as  an APN in the state of Illinois (or candidates eligible to be licensed in Illinois) for the role of Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal. The person in this role will provide 24-call coverage responsibilities starting at 7am to 7am next day.  She/he must come on site, when requested, for the following deliveries: thick (particulate) meconium stained amniotic fluid, premature infants < 36 weeks gestation, stat C-section for abruption, placenta previa, prolapsed cord, or suspected fetal distress, vaginal delivery for suspected fetal distress, multiple births, or care provider requests. Must come on site for 40 hours per pay period. She/he will provide care for newborns and infants. She/he will order, interpret, and record results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. She/he will prescribe medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. 

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current certification as an NNP by the National Certification Corporation or an equivalent body. Must hold licensure or eligible to be licensed as APN in State of Illinois. Must hold valid state license to practice as a professional nurse. CPR certification required. NRP- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certified.
