Looking for a great opportunity? We seek candidates with of five (5) or more years’ experience in a hospital or related industry as a maintenance engineer or in a building or construction trade for the role of Facilities Management Director. The person in this role will provide leadership, direction, and administrative oversight for the operations of Facilities Management, Environmental/Laundry/Linen Services, Security and Biomedical Services. He/she will plan, direct, and coordinate the maintenance, environmental services, and construction activities of the department. He/she will sets goals and implements policies for the departments. He/she will assure the facility’s equipment and campus are maintained in accordance with Federal, State and local codes and guidelines. He/she will evaluate purchase requests, work projects and equipment needs. He/she will make administrative recommendations and/or decisions as required for capital expenditures, contracts, operating budgets and equipment disposal.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) or more years’ experience in a hospital or related industry as a maintenance engineer or in a building or construction trade. Must have at least (2) years of documented experience in a supervisory or lead position in a health care facility or maintenance field. Must have experience with refrigeration, nurse call systems, fire alarm systems, elevators, pumps and motors, boilers, generators, chillers and HVAC and other various hospital equipment and electrical equipment. Must have working knowledge of but not limited to the following: generators, boilers, pumps, motors, elevators, conveyors, compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, hydraulics, firefighting equipment, various power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, solder, etc.), basic carpentry tools, various hand tools associated with building and electrical maintenance, hand held radios, lockout tagout devices, welding equipment, electrical meters and other equipment associated with building maintenance.
