Operating Room Nurse (RN)
Reading, PAWe're working on behalf of a strong, regional, integrated healthcare provider/payer system that offers leading-edge, compassionate healthcare and wellness services to a population of 2.5 million people. With approximately 14,000 team members, the healthcare system consists of six acute care hospitals, a pediatric hospital, home healthcare services, and a network of 25 urgent care facilities across the health system's service area. We seek a Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year of experience in the OR for the role of Registered Nurse - Operating Room. The person in this role will join a Level I Trauma Center caring for 17,000 patients undergoing surgical procedures each year. The hospital has 24 brand new operating rooms, 6 with hybrid capabilities, including robotic surgery. Advancements in spinal surgery including minimally invasive procedures along with Stealth guided navigation system for brain surgery and shunt placement are found in their ORs. 1 weekend of work is required monthly. 1 weekend of call is required monthly; 4 weeknights of call required per month. 30-minute response time; private call rooms are available.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of Pennsylvania. Must have acute care experience in the Operating Room (experience can be in any specialty, but should have experience circulating and scrubbing). Experience at a level 1 Trauma center is a plus, but required. The person in this role can work five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.
