Blood Bank Supervisor

We seek a California licensed CLS with at least two (2) years of laboratory supervisory experience in a hospital or medical setting for the role of Clinical Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank. The person in this role will ensure quality patient care in assigned areas of responsibility. He/she will be responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the assigned Laboratory section(s). He/she will train and evaluate the technical competency of the section personnel. He/she will make clinical / technical decisions to resolve problems, to meet Hospital and departmental goals and assure quality patient care. He/she will maintain the quality and security of departmental data. He/she will supervise personnel performance and training, maintenance of systems and QC.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry and a 1-year internship in approved Medical Technology program. Our ideal candidate has two (2) years of blood bank supervisory experience. Must hold California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire - or National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire - or National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists upon hire - or National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts upon hire. Must have at least four (4) years of blood bank experience as Clinical Laboratory Medical Technologist in hospital or medical setting
