Medical Physicist

We’re working on behalf of the leading cancer treatment facility in the Rockies - a center that is home to a nationally renowned, highly-skilled, innovative and respected team of providers with accreditations for the most advanced technologies and cancer treatment options in the country. At this unique treatment center, providers understand that there is no “one type” of cancer. Using advanced technologies like tumor-genetic profiling and achieving unique accreditations for several radiation treatments and more than 120 therapeutic agents, they believe that one's treatment plan should be as unique as the individual.

We seek candidates with a Ph.D. or Masters and 5 or more years of clinical practice experience for the role of Physicist – Radiation Oncology. The person in this role will direct the radiation oncology physics program, which includes the technical direction of medical dosimetrists, therapy equipment service engineers and other physics support staff. He/she will calibrate therapy equipment in a manner that ensures accurate radiation dose delivery. He/she will direct the determination of radiation dose distribution in patients undergoing treatment (i.e. computerized dosimetry planning or direct radiation measurement). He/she will direct and/or perform the acceptance testing of new equipment and treatment devices.

Candidates must have a Master of Science or Doctoral Degree and hold ABR board certification or be eligible in therapy physics. Candidates will be expected to obtain Colorado Registered Medical Physicist qualifications. Must hvae 5+ years post-degree clinical experience or completion of a post-degree clinical medical physics residency program under the preceptorship of a physicist certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or Radiological Physics. All experience levels will be considered; preference ABR Board Certified and/or HDR experience.
